Visitors to our expanded booth in New Orleans registered to be a resident in our Virtual Community. HazardCall meteorologists moved this fictitious manufactured housing community
in the path of real danger in West Texas. Nearly two dozen participants registered.
Storms began to erupt in the late afternoon in the Texas panhandle and HazardCall called, texted and emailed participants when the Virtual Community fell within a tornado warning. Then, a few minutes later, the warning was re-issued because the tornado was confirmed. HazardCall notified participants a second time.
